Second Full-Length Christian Movie Being Filmed in Cuba

In August, some of my friends in Cuba started shooting their second full-length Christian movie. (See pictures below.)

They call their ministry TVCC, which stands for Cuban Christian Television. They are a small group with a big vision. To my knowledge, they are the only ministry on the island that is producing full-length movies.

For this latest production ACTION has contributed $500, two video cameras, three microphones, and halogen lights. The contribution in Cuba is much greater: over 40 volunteers are working on the project.

Funds are still needed to complete filming and to do the editing.

TVCC’s first movie was made for under $200! What they produced with that amount is incredible: multiple locations, outdoor scenes, even a chase on horseback! It has been distributed by DVD to hundreds of churches in Cuba, and has been viewed by over a thousand people on YouTube.

Here it that first movie, SOS Nisi.

And here are the behind-the-scenes pictures from the current project:

  1. I can’t believe these guys are doing this! I am impressed simply by the effort it took to make this film.
