July, 2014, was the official launch of the Eternal Answers evangelism and discipleship project, a comprehensive outreach that gives evangelists effective tools to preach the Gospel and disciple those who respond.

Thanks to brothers Dave and Larry Chapman, we have already printed 200,000 “Eternal Answers” tracts and 2,500 “Getting Started in Extreme Living” discipleship manuals. These materials form the foundation of our outreach, along with 1,000 New Testaments.

The 10-panel tract has enough questions and Scripture to start up a good conversation with someone and hopefully lead them to the Lord. Then, the 98-page workbook helps new believers learn the basics of the faith through the study of key verses in the New Testament.

The entire program is designed to train eager Cuban evangelists and then provide them with proven tools they can use to initiate spiritual conversations with strangers, and then begin the discipleship process for those who come to Christ.

The first two training seminars were held by ACTION missionary Charles Ulibarri. He wrote the following about one marvelous afternoon in the city of Sancti Spíritus:

“I sent them out in pairs and for about an hour in the hot, Cuban sun they shared the Gospel message with 96 people. They came back with both sweat and smiles on their faces, excited and praising God for the experience! Ten people came to faith in Christ. Immediately they were given contact information and scheduled for follow-up and discipleship from someone on the team and in the local church.”

Attending both of those trainings was interdenominational leader Maikel Milán, who commented:

“It was a wonderful experience to see the effectiveness of the tracts. But, as you know, the goal is not just to win people for Jesus. Discipleship is the real goal.”

Maikel was later named as the Coordinator for the Eternal Answers project and in the fall began holding monthly training seminars for 15-20 evangelists at a time. He wrote:

“ACTION has organized the strategic discipleship plan that we were needing. The Lord knows how much I have prayed for this through the years.”

We look forward to the spiritual fruit that will be evident as those who are trained to evangelize and disciple using these materials begin to report back to Maikel. Everyone who attends the training is allowed to request more materials as needed.

Additionally, 50,000 of the tracts have been distributed outside of this program, primarily through sports evangelists who hand them out at baseball stadiums.
