  1. Dear Brian —

How do you handle the requirement from Cuba to have a religious license to come in on? I have been unable to get one from them since 2008 due to being an independent missionary not connected with any denomination. I worked primarily in Bayamo with independent house church pastors.

    • Hello. I am not sure I understand your question. Due to President Obama’s policy changes in January of this year, there is no longer any Cuba travel license required. You would only need some religious organization to “sponsor” you by typing up a letter, but this could be from your local church. (see my article: “What Replaces the Cuba Travel License.”) However, if you are talking about needing a religious worker’s visa from the Cuban government, then you need an established Cuban denomination to submit your visa application to the government on your behalf. To get that visa you need a Cuban church to officially host you.

  2. Hi

I am based in London England – Could you let me know if there are any ministries htat I could join on a missions trip to Cuba?

  3. I am from Toronto Canada I will be going to Cuba for 10days vacation and I am thinking about to donate my Laptop to your ministry and some essential item and I can be reach at 416-4763633 or E mail me at chewca26@gmail.com

    • That sounds very generous of you, Chris. We have helped other Canadians headed to Cuba on holiday in a similar way — or rather, they have helped us! I will email you to see what city you will in to see if we can coordinate something.

  4. Hola Brian!

  5. Hi,

We have visited Cuba a couple of years ago and fell in love with the people and the island.

I work in renewable energy and my wife is a nurse, we are planning to return to Cuba as soon as finances and time allows.

We are both born again, spirit filled and currently lead a cell/home group of relatively new Christians after being involved with Alpha for many years. In addition we lead a healing and deliverance ministry, Sozo, that originated at Bethel.

When we return to Cuba we would very much like to serve a Church out there and meet some of the local Christian community, alternatively we would love to join one of your mission teams.

We are based in the UK and would love to offer our prayer support and help in any way we can.

    • Thank you, Alex and Sue, for contacting me via my website. It is always a blessing to hear from others who have a heart for the Lord’s people in Cuba.

So you can get a decent idea of what types of ministry we do in Cuba, and who our colleagues are, I am sending you some of my recent prayer letters, as well as a document containing orientation materials that I share with those who travel with me to Cuba. I hope this is not “information overload!”

I trust that the Lord will grant you what you desire regarding Cuba: to return and minister there.

      Yours in Christ,

  6. Hi Brian,
My name is Eric Ranck. I am 28 and beginning grad school this fall. I have spent time doing missionary work in Ghana and now recently in Uganda. In Uganda I traveled a lot and did trainings at local churches, it was a really good experience.
I have had some interest in Cuba recently and would like to tour the island sometime and see what God is doing there. Do you know of any connections I could make to do this? I was thinking of visiting for 10-14 days July or August this year. Any suggestions?
